Terms of Use.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the agreement between you and the publisher of the app you installed (“the App”): Recore Church for the Recore mobile app, and Church Flow (Pty) Ltd for the Church Flow mobile app. By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

The Apps are published by Recore Church (the Recore app) and by Church Flow (Pty) Ltd (the Church Flow app); “we”, “us” and “our” mean the publisher of the App you installed. Both run on the Church Flow platform, operated by Church Flow (Pty) Ltd. Our full legal and contact details are set out in our Privacy Policy, and you can reach us any time at [email protected].

2. Your licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on a device you own or control, for your own participation in the life of the church, in line with these terms and the usage rules of the app store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or sub-licence the App, or use it to build a competing product, except to the extent the law does not allow us to prevent it.

3. Your account

To use most features you create an account. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your login details secure, and to be responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You must be old enough under the law that applies to you to agree to these terms. Children may take part only through a parent or guardian's account and the App's family features, as described in our Privacy Policy. By adding a child, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their permission.

4. Acceptable use

The App exists to serve a church community. You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the App to harm, harass, threaten, defame, or abuse anyone;
  • post content that is unlawful, hateful, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to a person or ministry;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems, or interfere with how the App works;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect other people's information from the App for any purpose we haven't authorised.

We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules, to protect our community.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create in the App: your messages, prayer requests, notes, photos, and voice notes. To run the App for you, you give us permission to host, store, display, and share that content with the people you direct it to (for example the members of your group). You are responsible for the content you post, and you confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

6. Giving and payments

Where you give through the App, your gift is a donation to the church. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Paystack; we do not store your full card details. You can view your giving history in the App and, where you set up a recurring gift, you can manage or cancel it from the giving area or by asking us. Questions about a specific gift or a receipt should go to [email protected].

7. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by others, including your device's app store (Apple or Google), sign-in providers (Apple, Google, or Microsoft), and Paystack for payments. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Availability and changes to the App

We work to keep the App available and useful, but we may add, change, suspend, or remove features, and the App may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act and other South African law. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the App and close your account at any time. See our Delete your account & data page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or where we reasonably need to protect the App, our community, or the church. Terms that by their nature should survive (such as content licences you have granted, and the liability and governing-law sections) continue after your access ends.

12. Apple App Store users

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, the following also applies and, where it conflicts with the rest of these terms, it prevails for that download:

  • These terms are between you and the publisher of the App you installed, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Your licence to use the App is limited to use on any Apple-branded products you own or control, and as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. We are solely responsible for support, at [email protected].
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, and consumer-protection claims.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the App infringes that party's intellectual-property rights.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the App. Your continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms? Email us at [email protected]. Full legal and contact details are in our Privacy Policy.
